Open invitation to all descendants of the
South Sea Island (Kanakas) in Cairns and surrounding areas. Descendants from
the first fleet are welcome to come and help assist and prepare for the
celebrations for next year. It will be a pleasure to hear some great stories on
the history of our hard working cane cutters. Set in place are regular meetings
leading up to the event every fortnight. As holidays are approaching we are
